Pavement cyclepath in Vienna
What a good idea. Using pavement space to create a cycle path. Notice the lack of posts near the curb -no parking meters or parking signs.

A very good idea. Street 'furniture' - including signs are a real danger to cyclists. Their effectiveness in changing motorist behaviour is open to analysis.
Great idea. Differentials in speed between vehicles and pedestrians and bikes is the issue. We all need to slow down then we can travel "by negotiation" as is proposed by the Walk 21 groups. Ros
